19 of my prints are displayed in the Oak Harbor Library for the month of September! Woodcut reduction is the oldest form of printmaking. I use sharp tools to carve a design into the surface of a wooden block. I then had layers of ink to the block, each color at a time, and use a hand press to imprint the image onto heavy paper. All art is for sale. 8 x 10" prints = $100 each or 2 for $175                                        (frame size 11 x 14") Contact me directly at gillespie.teresa@gmail.com

TRG Woodcut Prints

Woodcut reduction is the oldest form of printmaking.   I use sharp tools to carve a design into the surface of a wooden block.  The raised areas that remain are inked and printed while the recessed areas that are cut away do not retain the ink.   I use a traditional Japanese soft wood and hand press to ink one sheet at a time.  Due to the variation of this process, each print is unique.   All art is for sale.  Contact me at gillespie.teresa@gmail.com
